Step 1
Preparing contracts
- Carryout legal searches
- Order Council and land registry documents
- Prepare sale contract in accordance with your instructions
- Issue sale contract to your agent so they can start marketing your property.
Step 2
Before exchange
- Prepare contract in accordance with sale agreement provided by the agent
- Negotiate any changes
- Organise signing of sale contract in readiness to exchange contracts
- Receive buyers signed contract and organise exchange of contracts
Step 3
After exchange
- Liaise with your lender to discharge mortgage
- Organise settlement in electronic settlement workspace
- Confirm settlement figures, settlement date and time.
Step 4
Completion day
- Make sure you have moved out
- Sign off and finalise the settlement
- Distribute sale proceeds as requested
- Advise the agent to release the deposit funds to the seller
